Where can I find the name of the manufacturer on my cell phone?

The name of the of your phone's manufacturer is usually written on the exterior of the phone. In some cases you may need to remove the battery and look for a white sticker inside the battery compartment. This white sticker contains information about your phone and usually displays the name or logo of the manufacturer.

How can I find the model number on my phone?

To locate the model number of your phone, simply remove the battery and read the information on the sticker that is attached to your phone.

What does OEM mean?

OEM means "Original Equipment Manufacturer".. If a headset is "OEM" it means that it was manufactured by a company that also builds cell phones, such as Motorola, Blackberry, Samsung, etc.

Nextel (or Sprint Nextel) phones

Most Nextel phones are manufactured by Motorola.

T-Mobile Sidekick or Hiptop

If you have a T-Mobile Sidekick or Hiptop, the manufacturer is Danger

SprintPCS Touchpoint

If you have a Sprint PCS TouchPoint, your phone is most likely made by LG.
